John 13:35 “By this everyone will know that you are my disciples, if you love one another.”
We aim to show how much we love one another by our love & concern for one another when our members go through tough times. Many are supported by a loving life group. For others support comes through the Pastoral Care Team, through Prayer Ministry or the different groups to which people belong. Each service congregation aims to look out for those who need that extra bit of support. The pastoral Care co-ordinator, Angela Letchford can be contacted through the church office or via the leadership teams of the various service congregations
The Pastoral Care Team is a small group of people who seek to add additional support to those who are in need. They support people through visiting, listening and offering prayer & spiritual support to those who may not be supported through the wider church community. They meet twice a month along with the clergy when possible to co-ordinate & share needs & bring everything to God in prayer.
Prayer Ministry at St Thomas's is offered during and after the 9am, 11am and 7pm services each Sunday. There is a quiet corner available and always at least two people from the Prayer Ministry Team on duty. There is also a "text a prayer request" available each Sunday. The person texting may remain anonymous. The team will pray and then delete the text.
Alternatively anyone may email firstname.lastname@example.org to reach Angela Letchford who runs the Prayer Ministry team
Women's Prayer Chain
