Inter Church Links
St Thomas’ Church is just one local expression of God’s worldwide church. We are committed to working in partnership with other Christians wherever we can. This is demonstrated through a variety of different networks and partnerships which we value highly.
Church of England

St Thomas’ Church is part of the
Church of England. This means that we have a geographical parish within Lancaster (this encompasses parts of the city centre, Greaves, Primrose, and Bowerham areas of the city). We relate to other local Church of England churches through the Lancaster and Morecambe Deanery, which in turn is part of the
Diocese of Blackburn.
Churches Together and Hope Lancaster

St Thomas’ Church plays an active role within local church networks, including
Lancaster Churches Together and the
Hope Lancaster network, which brings churches together to partner in prayer and mission to our city.
New Wine

St Thomas’ Church is an active member of the
New Wine network. Many of our church members have gone to New Wine summer conferences over the years, and we regularly host and participate in New Wine Lancashire celebrations and conferences.
Evangelical Alliance
Thomas' is a member of the
Evangelical Alliance. a country wide organisation that has since 1846 been been dedicated to serving the UK church, uniting evangelicals to make Jesus known.
Mission Agencies
We work closely with inter-church national mission agencies such as
UCCF and
Fusion for student outreach, and
Tearfund for global development and relief work. Fuller information about our global mission commitments can be found on our
Mission Support page.
