If you're new to Lancaster and a student, we'd love to meet you. You'd be very welcome at anything that we do.
To highlight a few things, specifically for students:
Food! - We have a meal together each Sunday of the university term before the 7pm service, which is the service where most students can be found. We meet from 5.30pm in the downstairs centre behind the main church building. This is a great opportunity to meet other students.
Deeper Bible Study - Every week during term time, we meet on a Wednesday evening at a home in Lancaster to eat together, study the Bible together and pray together.
Host Families - We link you with a family in the church who will invite you round to their home for a meal a few times a year. Who can turn down a free home cooked meal and a warm house to sit in? And of course, it helps you to get to know other people in the church family.
One to One's - At St Thomas' we want to see you grow as Christians, in your knowledge and love of Jesus. To help you in this we offer one to ones where you are partnered with a more mature Christian to study the Bible, go for coffee and share any struggles you may be having in a confidential environment.
We want to help you thrive in your relationship with God, and grow as Disciples of Christ; we feel this happens best when we are integrated well into the life of the Church. There’s lots going on and lots to get involved with so do have a look; from football
after the 7pm service to helping with the children’s
ministry or serving hot drinks to students late on a Saturday night
to going on church walks
in the Lakes.
